I was inspired by the stories of Adam and Eve and Snow White, tales commonly tied to the theme of temptation, present throughout the opera. The visual language draws upon these connections as they have been passed down through oral storytelling and fairytales. The striking hand at the top of the composition represents the power and strength women in the opera hold over the vulnerable side characters that possess a weak-willed and greedy nature.
